icewm-common software package provides wonderful Win95-OS/2-Motif-like window manager, you can install in your Debian 9 (Stretch) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install icewm-common
icewm-common is installed in your system.
Make ensure the icewm-common package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep icewm-common *
You will get with icewm-common package name, version, architecture and description in a table
